Chef lamar fell in love with food at the tender age of 12, while cooking with his grandmother's. Watching his Dad bbq on the grill during family gatherings taught him how to cook with love. Chef Lamar's passion for cooking grew as he got older. At 17 years-old he won US Foods culinary food show. Two years later, at 19 years-old he was given a internship opportunity
that changed his life . Chef was honored to worked with a French Chef who instilled work ethic in the industry. During that time he was asked constantly, "why are you here?" and Chef Lamar would reply, "I want to be a Chef!" No matter how hard things became, Chef Lamar was never allowed to give up. As of today, Chef still hears the echo of his instructor's voice asking him, "have you ever heard a tree grow?"
